TouchdownClaymores.com has been one of the main Claymores fan sites since 1996. It began in early June 1996 prior to the Claymores World Bowl appearance tha year. At that time, the site, then called the Unofficial Scottish Claymores Page, consisted of only 7 pages of information.
December 1996 saw a name change to Touchdown Claymores and was fast becoming the largest source of information on the internet. 1997 saw the first full season of Claymores football for the site which covered all the games. The site was relaunched as TouchdownClaymores.com in early 1999 and has since grown to over 350 pages of information, game reports and news stories.
The launch of the TouchdownClaymores.com Forums in late 2000 marked the start of the site as a meeting point for fans. The forums have basically taken over the site and have developed into a friendly community of Claymores fans from around the world.
February 2003 saw an upgrade of the forum software that saw a corresponding leap in interest in the site, averaging 55,000 pages and 275,000 hits per month. That leap in traffic has continued since and as off March 2004, the site served 200,000 pages (over 1 million hits).
The site has also played a role in the formation of a number of flag football teams including the TDC Glasgow Sabres and the Aberdeen Oilcats
