Rule Differences between the NFL and NFL Europe League

4 Point Field Goals: Field goals of 50 yards or more are worth 4 points.

Overtime: Each team gets one opportunity to score after which 10 minutes of sudden death overtime is played. If the game is still drawn then a tie is declared.

PAT's: Ball is spotted on the two yard line for both kicks and offensive PAT's.

If the defense blocks a PAT attempt and recovers the resulting fumble to return it across the opponents goal line, a two point 'Deuce' is awarded.

After Touchdowns: Celebration by players is allowed but taunting will result in a penalty.

Screen Passes: All players are permitted to release downfield and block on a pass behind the line of scrimmage.

Timeouts: The Head Coach is allowed to go onto the field and join the huddle during a timeout.

Game Timing: On the signal from the referee to play after an incomplete pass the clock will start except after the two minute warning in the first half and the last five minutes in the second half.

Play Clock: A 25 second play clock is used as opposed to 40 seconds in the NFL.

3 Man Pass/Punt Rush: The defense is allowed to rush only 3 players per side on all offensive plays and punt attempts.

European Kickers: A European National kicker must kick all extra points and field goals of 32 yards or less.

Europeans National Player series: A National player must be used on the first offensive and first defensive series of the game. After that the National series will alternate - one offensive and defensive series off and then one on. An EU flag will be shown on the down markers to signify a national series. Violation of this rule will result in a 5 yard penalty.
